About Me
Following a successful career with The Bristol Youth Offending Team I became interested in human behaviour, trauma and attachment. I continued to study psychology, neurobiology and human behaviour and relationships. As a qualified play therapist, applying psychoanalysis to support mental health and brain change I continued to broaden my career through further study. I am now an integrated psychotherapist specialising in mental health, toxic stress, complex trauma, attachment, and adapting or reprocessing unhelpful thought processes and personal human beliefs.

I work with children, adolescents, adults and families, and I adapt my approach directly or non-directly based on individual assessment and need. I have experienced a vast range of cases since 2013, from mild to complexed including anxiety, eating difficulties, depression, mental health diagnoses, behaviour conditions and disorders, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), addiction, adoption, foster, special guardianship orders, attachment and relationship difficulties, acute, chronic and complex trauma.
I continue to run my own private practice and am highly experienced in multi-agency meetings, working with other professionals including within local authorities and education. I manage and clinically supervise a team of therapists and administration staff in England and Wales as Clinical Lead Therapist.
I have a passionate interest in premature births and how the brain is affected through trauma and neurobiology. I have 4 incredible children who started life in neonatal intensive care, which was touch and go. I am incredibly lucky and incredibly gifted to have them here today. I had to learn to understand and live with attachment disorders and trauma through obtaining personal therapy and professional guidance. My son in particular, who was born at 27 weeks, has required therapeutic parenting and me having to learn and understand how his brain operates differently, in comparison to a child in the realm of norm.
I have triplet daughters, one of whom is diagnosed as deaf in one ear and struggles to process information. However her mind is wonderfully creative as she has the ability to tune into her creative mind when she cannot hear properly. I have been on a creative journey with her and this has enabled me to develop personally and professionally artistically. The story for my daughters has been similar to my son although different in many ways. I am proud to say the results are most rewarding following so much psychological and therapeutic investment. I am now reaping the wonderful rewards in each of their beautiful souls that they represent today.
